This work explores how societal norms and systems of capitalism shape identity, emotion, and behavior. It begins instinctively but is rooted in observation, questioning how structure, pressure, and expectation impact the individual. Through mixed media, painting, digital art, sound, and found materials, the work translates these forces into physical form.
Materials such as wire, torn canvas, paint, photography, and digital layering are used to create tension and contrast. Wire becomes both a connector and a restraint, while fragmentation and rebuilding reflect cycles of control, consumption, and resistance. The surfaces are layered, damaged, and reconstructed until they feel active, mirroring the chaos that exists beneath systems designed to appear stable.
The process is intentionally visible. Imperfection, rough edges, and exposed structure are not corrected but emphasized, challenging ideas of polish, productivity, and value. The work sits in the space between chaos and order, questioning what is considered functional, acceptable, or complete.
Rather than offering clear answers, the work invites viewers to reflect on their relationship to these systems and the emotional weight they carry. Meaning is not fixed, but felt, allowing space for personal interpretation and recognition.
